1. What we collect

• Identity & contact data you submit (name, email, phone, city, business interest).
• Consent records (T&C and marketing acceptance, version, timestamp, IP, user agent).
• Chat funnel responses, quiz answers, qualification tags and scores.
• Session resume snapshot in your browser's localStorage/sessionStorage (up to 7 days).
• Resume session token, IP address, referrer and user agent on our servers.
• Funnel analytics events (page visit, step completion, drop-off, resume).
• Verification data (OTP delivery status, timestamps) when applicable.
• Payment & booking metadata via our payment processor when applicable.

2. Why we collect it

To qualify, contact and advise prospective franchisees; to operate and improve the funnel; to maintain a legally defensible audit trail of consent; and to comply with tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.

3. Legal basis

We process personal data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in operating a franchise advisory business, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). EU/UK visitors are covered by GDPR-equivalent rights described below.

4. Retention

• Local resume snapshot: up to 7 days from your last visit.
• Server-side leads and consent audit trail: up to 36 months unless you ask us to delete sooner.
• Financial records: as required by Indian tax law (typically 8 years).

5. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share with vetted processors only as needed (hosting, database, email/SMS delivery, payments, analytics). No third-party advertising cookies are placed by this platform.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion or export of your personal data, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to success@thefranchiseinsiider.com.
